Found the sweet spot on the Orange cab, the H75/V30 combo is really amazing.

In the video you're saying those are H75's. Which ones you got in there James?

OOOPS

I originally wrote M75, I meant Scumback H75's in the Orange.

Good eye.

Going to be interesting to see how chaos control works with so much

going on and with so many people there.

This is going to be intense for sure, so be mindful to watch it on ear fatigue.

That amount of exposure at those sound levels can do some damage.

Try to get a Bogner Classic at the shootout as well! I love that amp!

Or a 101B, I still love mine too...

Things are comin together, I bought another long speaker cable so that's done, I also got another 421, spoke with John at Mesa Hollywood he's sending a Mark V and a Stilletto, and also arranged delivery of all of Friedman's amps (7). Looks like everything is in place.

I need you guy's help. Here are 3 quick clips of different speaker/cab combos. All are the same mics, pres, amp, settings and guitar.

What are your thoughts? How does the sound differ? Which do you prefer for what kind of music and why?

This is going to help me make the best choices for Saturday.

Toss up for me between the m/red and the m/neve. Neve has real nice chunk but the red has beautiful bite. O/split might blend nice in a track but solo'd is a little thin and mid-rangey.

Cab 1 & 2 is the Scumback/Marshall straight with M75's, the difference is:

Cab 1 has a 57>Neve 1272 & 421>API
Cab 2 has a 57>Montessi Red & 421>API

Cab 3 is the Orange cab with
H75 - 57>Neve 1272
V30 - 421>API

I got it, I think it's the best sound we've ever got at my studio and it's totally customizable. It's the Scumback Marshall straight cab with 3 M75 and 1 V30. Mic an M75 and the V30, each speaker has a 57>Neve 1272/421>API combo. 4 mics total, perfectly phased. You can blend the mics to get different sounds, better then EQ. This file below is the 57 at unity gain on both speakers and the 421 down about 6db from unity gain on both speakers. It was a good basic blend. It sound absolutely massive in my room, incredible. The 1 V30 adds just a little kack to the sound. So 2 mics on 2 speakers in 1 cab. SM57/421/1272/API.

It look like we're gonna have around 35 amps, the absolute best of the best in the high gain amp world. This is just the beginning:

A truly droolworthy studio set-up.

The largest collection of fine Hi Gain amps ever assembled.

One of the best sounding 4X12's ever recorded.

What does everyone notice?

Your ever so lovely assistant!

I think this is possibly the most insane thing I think I've seen anyone attempt on Gearslutz (but in a good way). It's for a good cause though... and you never know, maybe in a few years you'll be able to see a guitar amp again without screaming.
