Question Daisy chaining Amps vs. ABY pedal??? need help!

what are the pro's and con's between daisy chaining two amps vs. using an aby selector, besides the obvious convenience of switching back and forth and/or playing both at once? one amp boosting the others signal or vice versa... i have a volume pedal, so i could essentially control one amp with that. any experience? suggestions? any feed back is greatly appreciated.

thanks alot,

Pete
