I recently got a friends old digitech whammy with no power supply. so i go to guitar center today and ask if they have one, they did and it was 30 dollars that is stinking ridiculous

Doesn't it just use a standard 12v? You could have got an adaptaplug at radioshack for ~20... sure there's somewhere cheaper...

It uses a 9V 1300 mA power supply. The connection is different than standard as well. You might be able to get away with a radioshack adaptor as long as you get the correct connector, and it has enough amperage.

I had the same Shock and Awful trying to buy the AC adapter for my camera. Canon wanted like $60.00 and I found the correct model number on ebay sold by the actual 3rd party manufacturer for $15.00
