Question Fuzz Pedal Problems

Hello everyone. I have a Barber Electronics Trifecta fuzz pedal going through a Sovtek Mig100H. The Sovtek has GREAT overdrive but I got the pedal mainly for adding some different texture and coloration (sometimes you just need a fuzz pedal). The problem is, through that amp for some reason I get close to NO tonal difference when I kick the thing on. It's a single channel amp so the only way I'm getting cleans is rolling back my volume pedal (it's set in line before the fuzz). I've also tried it with the amp over driven. It's a really diverse pedal and I'm just not getting anything out of it on any setting. Any suggestions? Has anyone else had this issue with a one channel amp??

You're saying the character of the fuzz is similar to that of your amp's OD?

Fuzz pedals are often picky about input impedance. I'm not sure about the Barber, is it germanium? If it is, you'll want to put it first in your chain, directly after your pickups. Putting another pedal (especially a buffered one) between the fuzz and your pickups will lower the input impedance, and old school fuzzes need to see a high input impedance to function properly.

It is very similar to that of the amp's overdrive but that only seems to be the when its going through that amp. its like its acting more like very light boost than a fuzz. im not sure if it's germanium or not..it's not an older fuzz, though.

i do have it a little later in the chain...ive got it going guitar>tuner>wah>volume>voodoo labs octave fuzz>trifecta then more after..the voodoo vabs proctavia seems to cut through just fine too..

ill throw it in front to see what happens thanks!
