Sperzel Tuners

I hate floyd roses unfortunately I own 2 guitars with them. Theyre kind of a bitch to work with and I cant do behind the nut bends ....and I like doing em alot...

I want to put locking tuners on my strat and maybe Jaguar and be able to mess with the tremolo as much as I want and the guitars to remain at pitch....

Do sperzels do this....can I go at the tremolo like crazy and not worry like Parker flys?

I really like Sperzels, but I would make sure to combine them with either a locking nut or an LSR Roller nut. I'm not sure if any locking tuners alone could stand up to lots of whammy abuse.

I've had some of the locking sperzel tuners before and they're pretty good, but I've always heard locking nuts are the way to go with Floyds.

2 sets of sperzels here but non locking. You need a locking nut with a floyd a locking tuner isn't gonig to keep it stavle on it's own. I have 2 guitars with floyds rg550's both with the standard ibanez tuners.

I had a carvin DC400 with original floyd and sperzels.

That guitar was never in tune, yeah, I had graphite nut, everything set up by a pro, etc...

And while subtle vibrato was ok, that's not what a floyd calls for, you know.

i did that (i used schaller) along with a graphite nut and tried without string trees and with roller trees on an 83 strat. it was an improvement but not a "go to town with the whammy bar" solution.
YMMV
if you ever get a chance you may want to take a look at a strat with an LSR roller nut and locking tuners.
