Thread Starter | Cheap-ish cab for Orange Tiny Terror
Hi guys I just recently bought a Tiny Terror. Really nice sounding amp. I'm now on the hunt for a decent 2X12 OR compact-like 4X12 that won't break the bank. Can anyone suggest anything that'll work well with the Tiny Terror? I was looking at the Laney GS212E which doesn't sound bad but I was wondering about any other options. Bearing in mind that I live in South Africa and we can't actually get Orange cabs here. I managed to get the Tiny Terror through a friend who went overseas. Thanks. |

+1 on the Avatar cabs. I just snagged one of their Vintage 212 cabs with Warehouse V30s in it used for $250 and love it. Even for live use I don't see me going back to a 4x12 anytime soon and if I can get a deal on a Hot Plate or something I can turn my Dual Rec into a decent practice amp as well.

I haven't used a 412 in years. 90% of the time the stages I play on don't warrant the extra volume and if its a big enough stage that I need to be louder I can always mic it. I've found that sound guys like as little stage noise as possible. |

Well... great news. I just bought myself a Vox V212BNX (with Alnico Blues) for the equivalent of about $295 ![]() Usually retails for $1300. It's brand new. Just a company here in South Africa that had one and decided to clear out their old factory stock ![]() I'm hoping it'll sound cool coz someone once told me that the Tiny Terror is basically an AC15 with an extra gain stage... so here's hoping. Thanks though. |
