Washburn Guitars is holding a Riff Contest (Riff Contest) with prizes including a $2,399 custom Washburn Guitar and VIP tickets to the Wacken Open Air 2009 for the 1st place winner.

To enter record a video of you playing a riff on a Washburn Guitar that's no longer than 35 seconds and upload to YouTube. You can then submit your video to Riff Contest 2009 for others to vote on. The contest, which ends on April 5th 2009, features the following prizes:

1st Prize: Washburn USA Custom Shop WM526B + 2 VIP Tickets for W:0:A Wacken Open Air 2009. Winner has the opportunity to play live on stage at the festival.
2nd Prize: Washburn WI50VB
3rd Prize: Washburn WV40B
4th - 13th Prizes: 10 runners up will be entered in to a raffle for 10 Washburn T-Shirts and other prizes
Voter's Prize: Voters also have the chance to win a Washburn WM24VB in the voters raffle

I wanted to add - this contest is open to all "styles" of playing - this is for all licks/riffs - not just metal... country, blues, jazz.. anything is fine. . . . and - the winner is chosen by having peers vote on it, so if you can get all of your friends to vote, you'll have a pretty good chance of scoring a nice guitar.
