Egnater Tourmaster 212X w/Rebel 20?

I was thinking about getting one of these cabs for my Rebel 20.
Are Celestion Elite 80 speakers good for recording?(modern rock ,heavy, nice clean)
I see this cab can have a partial open back and fully closed as well.I currently have a 4x12 with sheffields.I'm thinking the rebel 20 could sound better with some better speakers/cab.

I'm not looking to spend a ton of money maybe $500-$600.I'm willing to take suggestions for a new cab for the rebel 20.

The thing is it has to be from Musicians Friend.Any.TY

I just played thru a 4100 that had those speakers and I really liked this amp. I was able to dial in some really nice tones, I'm usually sceptical of the higher watter celestions except for the sidewinder that they don't make anymore, but thru this amp the speakers sounded really nice

I have a Rebel 20 and the 1x12 Egnater cab. I think the Elite 80 sounds better than the other speakers I tried with this amp-- a Hellatone 60 and a Emi Super V (albeit in different cabs).

For that money you can get a used Bogner OS 2x12. Use it stock or change one of the v30s to a 75 for heavy music & you should be golden.

I bought a rebel 20 and brought it to my studio and set some mic's up in front if it.
I couldn't stand the noise coming off the head. I tried every level and i was not Happy with the noise..it went back... I think the transformers where from china or mexico...just not quality...sound average

Sounds like something may have jarred loose or something on yours. This is not my experience at all.As a matter of fact if it weren't for the light in the front i can barely tell it's even on.

I was running it at full tilt and i know i should expect some noise but this was was like white noise...I think it's those low wattage tubes...It has 6v6 in it right? maybe i got a bad one...I really liked the size of it and its perfect for pedals.
maybe i can try again sometime... my Bogners are quiet and my rack amps. just this little bugger
