What does it actually do that makes it different than other pedals? What Satch songs does it sound like?

For one thing it does not effect your tone outside of actually satchurating your sound the way a great amp should, to many pedals don't get near what they hype them up to be, besides vox makes great gear anyway.
Another great point is once you dial in your gain which you don't need much if you already have some going on on the amp then you have a tone knob on it that lets you put your eq just right, not a cheesy eq either, also the output is another great feature, and if that isn't enough it has a extra switch that says MORE , now you are in super satchuration Hell. Comes with the vintage chicken head knobs, they are cream and the box is red, hot looking.
ps: if you are in the more mode which is beyond extreme satchuration you might hear some small noise but who is suppose to be letting go at that stage, you should be smoking, also this pedal was design to run in front of tube amps, i hooked it up to a non tube amp first and was not blew away, but it loves tubes.

Plus you are missing out on a whole world of opportunity if you never made use of them.

I love pedals. I mainly use all analog pedals into VHT 2/50/2 and or Mesa boogie
2/90 power amps...My Bogner heads are just sitting there...I haven't heard the satch pedal.. looks like a production pedal.. I Like point to point high quality pedals but i want to get it and give it a try.. I have to eBay some of these pedals.. anyway I'm getting the best most versatile sounds ever with pedals and rack amps..

There is some good production pedals out there though. I have a tech21 boost reverb and i love the thing. I cut back on all the reverb settings and use just a little small room reverb and pump up the boost. It gives you a huge sound so that one stays..

I guarantee there are so many quality pedals out there that will sound better than the satch pedal. Its not the magic pedal. Its a hyped pedal. Pedals are tools.
to say you hate pedals does not register with me. Pedals can give a good amp substantial upgrades. analog rules when it comes to tone. a properly built pedal can sound so good in a tone stack nothing can beat it. alot of Amps are built with distortion pedals in mind.. Quality heads will sound great with a pedal in front of it

What do you mean by this? Have you ever even used this pedal? If not it makes your post pretty pointless.

The poster was implying he loved this Satchurator Distortion Pedal but hated pedals. I have enough experience to know that pedals sound very different
from one to another and there are some great pedals out there. Plenty of them.
It gets more attention because Vox used satriani to sell it.

Experience is not pointless..I would actually say the original post was pointless. He hates pedals but probably bought it because he's a satriani fan. Its very hard for me to understand hearing a guitar player say I hate pedals but love this one. Any experienced guitar player would never say that. At least i don't think so. Seasoned guitar players know how valuable pedals are to integrate into an
Amp system, even one with digital effects. So I know in advance that the pedal may sound great but only in a sea of great or better pedals. I will get the pedal
it wont be my last. I might not like it, even with satriani's name on it

It just seems pointless to point out that this pedal is mass produced and probably just has Satch's name on it to sell a few more. That's obvious to just about everyone. The poster may very well have plenty of experience with a lot of high end pedals and maybe he didn't like any of them but likes this one. It just seems like you're telling him he doesn't know what he's talking about, which comes off as a little rude.

Hey buddy "the Poster said" in his first sentence "This is the pedal WE have been waiting for" I don't think so. I heard the thing on many sites It sounds ok. If you think I'm rude you have alot of people to meet here..
Vox is not a boutique builder they mass produce stuff like tonelabs,Jam room or how about the Amp Plug In China of course ..Now I really don't want to go any further with this if you don't mind.. This place is about opinions... I'm not going to tell people this is the pedal we have been waiting for because that would be foolish.

I have some pedals here that will chew the Satchurator up
even with the more switch on..I hope Joe uses this pedal " that will be highly modded I might add. The good stuff cost money, they kept the price down to hit a wide market" to put some diversity in his music. I don't think I can take Raspberry Jam one more time live.

Man you're so hilarious, you must be the life of the party. I actually don't own any pedals and all my amps have those little glowing light bulbs in them.

You did have the post about your new satch pedal now its deleted so lets not be deceptive. your the one who comes off like you know pedals. so give me a lesson.

To have tube amps and not have a nice overdrive in front of it for some extra textures, harmonics and the many other good qualities a high quality pedal will do is your loss. your choice

First of all if I had deleted a post about me owning a Satch pedal then you'd see a little blank post saying that I deleted a post so that's a load of bullshit. I never once claimed to own a Satch pedal. Second, could you please point out the post where I come off like I know so much about pedals?

Yeah, this thread has gotten a little foolish so it's time to put this BS to rest. Just know that I was never trying to come off as knowing all about pedals. That being said, I'm actually going to head to banjo mart today to look for an overdrive pedal. If you had to choose a commercially mass produced overdrive pedal to push a good tube amp what would you recommend?

Lovepedal Mini Valve is awesome thats about 140.00 Lovepedal cot 50 red also..

I have the satchurator sitting in front of me lol I bought it today.. My next pedal is going to be the Xotic BB Plus...The MI audio crunch box is a great buy for the cash.
It lives up to its name and more...
