Thread Starter | Mesa Blue Angel score
Scored a Mesa Blue Angel head today. I was originally looking for a Matchless or Bad Cat- but prices are a bit beyond me. The Blue Angel is a different kind of amp- it does have that big, blooming, chimeyness but the progressive linkage side of things (running 6V6's and EL84's together) give it a tone I've never heard before- and I like it. Really nice amp... especially when you can get them for around the $500-700 mark without too much difficulty. A 'best kept secret' kinda amp in my opinion. agreed - Blue Angels are great sounding amps. I prefer it in a 4 x 10

It's a highly underrated amp IMO.
