have you tried the JVM series? I haven't had a chance yet but I've heard good things.

I got the blue 6101 and always loved that amp but as you say it's tempermental, and once again broken. I just purchased a Suhr Badger 18, and it sounds alot like the orange channel on the marshall. Altough the badger 30 would probably be closer. The Suhr doesn't come close to the red channel or clean channel if thats what you are looking for.. I may be interested in selling a broken 6101 by the way? I'm looking at getting a bogner ecstasy or cae od100 for heavier gain tones.
