Bass combo amp suggestions ???

I'm looking for a bass amp that is at least decent to record, and has enough power/volume to jam/play out with.
Budget is around $600 give or take.I personally always loved Ampeg ,but I'm not sure i can find anything in that price range.
My friend(bass player) is currently running into my RNLA,into my xr684 pa head, into the monitor channel into a 400 watt Marshall 1x15.As you can imagine the sound really isnt good enough to record.
I think i have everything i need to get a good direct sound, but I'm also looking for a decent live sound.
Tia for any suggestions,It doesn't have to be Ampeg.

Traynor Dynabass 200T

I love mine. I have the 2 x10 version and it is very punchy and has lots of nice features. DI out and it tilts which is nice for on stage monitor.

it's not a combo but i played the new acoustic head and 4X10 and it was surprisingly good and soo reasonably priced.

i was thinking of trying out a nemesis combo at one point . . .
