effects loop

Hi.I have a Marshall valvestate 8080 combo and a Boss GX-700 effects unit.Does someone know how to connect both the amp and the unit using the loop?? there are inputs, outputs, sends and returns everywhere, and I'm confusing about how to do it.I'd very grateful if someone told me from where to where plug the wires.Thanks a lot.This is the inconvenient of being a beginer.

Sure:

Guitar --> Amp Input
Amp FX Loop Send --> Boss Input
Amp FX Loop Return --> Boss Output

And that's it! Be aware that while generally delay, reverb, and modulation effects will sound cleaner in the FX loop, most distortion, wah, gate, and filter effect won't sound as intended (but they'll still work). If you intend to use the Boss more for distortion/amp sim effects and the like, I'd put the Boss unit in front of the amp instead of the loop:

Guitar --> Boss Input
Boss Output --> Amp Input

And one last method of hooking things up - This will bypass the tone controls on the Marshall, which is useful if you just want to use the Boss unit for your guitar sounds without the Marshall coloring the tone:

Guitar --> Boss Input
Boss Output --> Amp FX Loop Return

one problem solved, another new probem appears

Thanks a lot BLUElight, you've solved the problem.Now I have another problem, when I try to connect the marshall with the boss and a behringer mixer, xenix 1204 fx.I do the conncections correctly, but all begins to feedback and strange noyses, the effects doesn't sound correctly.The advantage of adding the fx trough the mixer is that you can decide the amount of effect you want to add at a determinate channel.I'm going to enclose an image of the gear.Maybe you can help me and tell me what's wrong.

The amp is micked with a SM-57 with is connected to a channel in the mixer.

are you putting the boss in the effects loop of your mixer to send effects to each channel?
