Thread Starter | Carl Martin amps? Today I traded an expensive guitar for a Carl Martin Custom Shop 50 head+cab. Going from software emulation (Amplitube 2 JHE) the difference is very noticeable - it's also a feeling, really, like the guitar actually plays different in my hands. Much more dynamics, detail, tube fatness. More everything. And it's fookin' loud - I can barely touch the master control here at home. But this is coming from software. Before this, it's been more than a decade since I owned an amp. So - if I was to look for this sound in a smaller, les expensive package, what's comparable? General input about these amps appreciated too. |
