| What's a good book for learning guitar? I am looking for a good guitar lesson book that might be able to teach me some new stuff. I have been playing guitar for several years(both recording and touring) but shamefully enough, I never really know what it is I am playing. I am looking to get into some simple theory just to come to grips with some new chords or exercises or something. Can anyone recommend something that may have helped them? ![]() |

| Lives for gear | "Harmonic Mechanisms for Guitar" by George Van Eps is the best book I've come across for the advanced guitarist.

Ted Green's Chord Chemistry and Modern Chord Progressions Any thing you can find from Arnie Berle is great he's my main man for harmony and chords Jazz Guitar Technique In 20 Weeks By Howard_Roberts Theres some great stuff on line from Tuck Andress that I've skimmed through that looks good on chords and harmony. do a search I don't have the link here. Complacency sucks, I'm always reading and re-reading old Guitar Player Mags and looking for new stuff like this to spark something new to happen, Got keep growing. Looking for that key to get to the next level. I've got so far to go.
