| Marshall 30th anniversary Died What to do? I owned this amp since 1993, played out alot of venues , recorded a few tunes repaired more than twice. Last night during a recording session it blew 2 fuses. This is the third time this year I had to repair this thing. It's time for it's burial. I only liked it's clean channel anyway. Thank God for the Jule mod tiny terror. I forgot how good it recorded. Anyone in the same position? I need to buy preamps and mics for my own recording studio and have to spend money on repairing old equipment. I tell you I'm thru with vintage equipment. By god give me equipment with a warranty!! What's really ridiculous is the price they want on ebay for vintage stratocasters. I owned a few 70's strat's and there is no way I would pay over $200.00 for that piece of crap. Vintage is way over rated. Unless you want to hang it on a wall for admirant. Please...... Sorry for the rant just a little P&%$% off. |

| I am sorry about your 6100, my 30th Anniversary (bought in the early 90's new) has some little "treble drop-outs" from time to time, but I don't dare to bring it to the tech, because this beast is not like the other more simpler Marshall-circuts but more like a computer inside. So I expect some major-$$ for repair-costs. But the crunch-channel (mode A and B) is so awesome that I will not miss this thingy. |

| Your situation is exactly why I put my faith in high quality hand wired amps like Reeves, Reinhardt, Bad Cat. Even back in the early days of the original Marshalls, they were not known for roadworthiness or consistency. Buying a true vintage Vox or Marshall is like buying a 60's Jaguar. When they run they are a joy to behold, If..... you can keep them running.

Sold them all off and bought a few good high quality hand wired amps from Kendrick and Victoria and I haven't looked back. Victoria carries a lifetime warranty for the original owner....cant beat that. Of course I did have to keep my 65 vibrolux for the studio, it just sounds too good...haha aloha
