Pricing a Vintage Gretsch Hollow Body Electric

Hey all,

I'm looking to sell what I think is a 1964 Gretsch 6125 Single Anniversary in 2 tone "smoke green".

Does anyone have a clue where I might:

A: Correctly identify the thing?
B: Find an accurate value?
C: Find a buyer?

I'm mainly a knob head (as opposed to a string head) so, any help would be great.

Thanks,
Seamus

For starters, post some detailed pics so your GS friends can have a chance to ogle it first.

Second, see if you can find a similar one on Gbase - Home.

It looks identical to this:
GRETSCH 6125 ANNIVERSARY (1964) (40U-3813) - Elderly Instruments

but, I will post some pics of it.

Thanks,
Seamus

A) Gruhns

B) $1600 mark sounds about right- but otherwise a reputable vintage guitar trader (like Gruhns).

C) It isn't likely to be a purchase for someone who doesn't already have a Gretsch.
Unusual styling, one pickup counts against it for most people.

According to the serial number time line on the Gretsch page, it looks like mine is a 1961 6125.

Thanks!
