The Only newer SVT that even comes close to the original is the SVT-VR model.

I tried the Classic and, sorry folks, that's no SVT.

The Mesa 400+ is a good amp until you have to re-tube it.

The new kid on the block that has my interest is the new Reeves Custom 225 Bass Amp.

Other than that, I'd look at buying an original SVT and have it completely refurbished.
I've never liked ANY solid state bass amp, I've ever played.

The 400+ has a bit more mojo compared to the new SVT Classics, in my opinion (I have both). I also have 2 other bass amps that I like more... the Orange AD200 and my favorite, a 1967 Fender Bassman Blackface

I like the fact that the new Reeves 225 is all hand wired and only weighs 59 lbs.

The price may be a bit rich for some, but for a full time player Reeves build quality
is hard to beat.

I haven't heard one yet, but the specs look real good and I AM interested.
