Recording in my garage - getting more amp noise/hum

Hi,

I seem to get a lot more noise and hum (in my amp), when I am recording in my garage. When I play out, I do not get the same amount of noise.

I am thinking that my garage is to blame. The AC wiring is new, and it has metal tubing around it. The outside walls are stucco, and the inside is unfinished, and you can see the shielded AC wires. The floor is concrete.

Use one of those outlet testers to verify that all your outlets are wired right and properly grounded.

Start there.

I do, but the noise stays the same whether they are on or off.
