Anybody know anything about tuning to A432 opposed to 440?

I had a guitar player in the other day and he was telling me about tunning to 432hz as opposed to 440hz. I thought he said it had something to do with the harmonics but the details escape me. Does anybody know anything about this? It's the first I've heard of it

Thanks

The tendency is rather up than down. Orchestra tune 446 nowadays, has been 442 for years.....432 makes no sense to me......

That's what I kind of got after looking at the link that blast9 put up and doing a quick google search. I didn't find anything that gave me any good reasons for it. It's funny how people are, this guy swears by it

The only thing I can think of: If he s talking about harmonics.....maybe the high harmonics are out of his hearing range when tuned to 440......

or someone told him 442 and he doesnt recall well.......
