I worked on a Series 12 for a few years. Pres were really good, had an A/B feature with 2 inputs you could toggle between, great for mic shootouts. Also, the pres were separate from the console, if you're buying a desk specify that they are included. Dynamics were good-ish, from memory. Desk sounded great overall, fully divergent 5.1 or 7.1 panning, 16 auxes. Worth noting that this was a quirky desk, needed lots of reboots, talked with Harrison a few months ago and they admitted it was a design that had a few warts. Tough to book in a commercial room, but for a single user who doesn't mind the occasional hiccup, cool board.

We have a Series 12 from year 2001. Very cool mixing desk. Fairly stable, needs a reboot now and then. I like the dynamics and eq's alot. Very musical. The mix bus sounds very deep and wide. One of the best mixing consoles Ive used..... The instant recall is awesome, hit "open" and bang, you got yer mix back.... I have had the Series 10 as well. A cool sounding board as well. But the Series 12 is most def a step up... |
