And another thing.... Get rid of the original Pod Pro. It's anti-slut. Sucks all the life out of the surrounding gear...

NEVER!!!

I love it on some guitars and it's a great distortion box for drums (ala Tchad Blake!! yes, yes, I know Tchad use a Sans amp but this can do a great job too), some times I even blend Vocals with it.

I prefer the old one better than the XT, some times I use the XT for just one or two guitar sounds.

Best regards.

Yeah, I understand! I NEVER sell stuff. I keep it all because everything has something worthwhile. That would be a good topic... "What gear have you sold thinking, "I don't need this low-end (or high end!!!) crap anymore" only to discover three days later.."Damn, if I only had that Bapstoni Frekulator....".

But the name of that thread would scare people away, I would think.

So....what console has been grabbing your eye????

It's probably already been mentioned, but in your "gear" section on your website, it might be easier to list what you don't have.

I forgot how crazy your studio looks Armando, I look at that wall and first think, man that's got to be hot back there and then I think I wouldn't know what to use, it's a bit overwhelming. It looks really cool though, like Houston we have a problem, cool.

Here's a shot of my studio, it's off the hizzy!

Holy Cow! Do you have to generate your own power? I couldn't even afford the 'lectric bill to hit the on switches on those sumbeaches, much less the gear. Bravo.

For some people when succes arrives, some tend to get Ferraris, Porsches, Mantions, Yachts, girls, alcohol, Jewels, Rolex, Channel, Hugo Boss, Audemars Peaugets, some put all his money on the bank, etc, etc.

In my case, I invest my money and my heart in just 3 things: My wife, my familiy and my gear.
I always prefer to have my money invested in something that produce me happiness and also sometimes is an investment for the future. I know, maybe, those Adats from 1994 costs anything today, but they help me make the next step in my carreer ( I hate ADATS BTW).

At the same time, that 63' Red Dakota Fender Strat, is an invest that produce the most beautiful guitar tones and it's price increase every year.

So this is my pasion, and it is paying dividends, every single peace of my studio gets me back 3 or 4 times in work and money what I invest in them, also, it could be sad if you got all this just to presume it here in GS, but in my case, I have the fortune to use all this investment in every single production that I have, its satisfactory to have 4 singles in the top 10 in Mexico or a Number one Album and #1 single on Billboard, or close the year with 10 top ten albums, and a lot of grammy nominations with artist in the same category produced by you!! With all those record sales, you must making something right. So... my Power bill is high? YES... but the results and satisfaction too!!!

Well, I have 2 Apogees DA16x just for FX Sends, so Im not limited at all, also all my outboard is connected to my main patch bay, the same way every studio have routed their outboard, and I can choose everything I want from there, right know Im making almost 6 of 10 projects ITB with outboard gear inserted via AD/DA and it is really fast, with my future console I'm gona have a lot of choices to send auxiliaries and busses to my outboard too, I think, in that department the Duality really Shines.

Best regards.

Looks interesant, Here in Mexico, we have a lot of problems with AC, my Euphonix is very sensible to it, and I hope SSL have more stability in that deparment.

What I want to buy is a BIG no break for all the studio, right now only my computers and HD have one.

What kind of mechanical aide do you use to access the gear in the upper levels of your racks?

Insane colllection. There should be a new category at the Grammies for 'Sluttiest Engineer/Producer'!!
