| Banned | Found this and it’s the first image I’ve found with the lid off so this must be THX exclusive of the THX D1138 that replaced THX 3417. |

| Banned | The patented THX crossover monitor doesn’t seem to be on the current THX approved list which means it must have been superseded by other digital crossovers that can be twice effective. http://www.thx.com/library/pdf/ApprovedEquipList.pdf One of most popular digital crossover is the dbx4800 now playing at the most powerful THX screen at London’s Leicester Square. dbx 260 dbx 4800 dvx 4820 ![]() Pictures of Empire Leicester Square screen 1 booth ![]() Pictures of Empire Leicester Square screen 1 booth ![]() Pictures of Empire Leicester Square screen 1 booth ![]() Pictures of Empire Leicester Square screen 1 booth Other THX approved digital crossovers QSC Basis 722az QSC Basis 902zz QSC Basis 904zz QSC Basis 914lz QSC Basis 922az QSC Basis 922uz QSC DSP 322ua QSC Rave 520uz QSC Rave 522ua QSC Rave 522aa |

| Banned | Original THX cinema crossover monitor THX 3417 part of the numbers are from THX 1138 characters, I’d have to look it up, but its noticeable in the THX 1138 trailer. This was sold on eBay last year and that is naughty tutt because it for lease only not to be sold on fleaBay! I bet someone scored lucky on a nice gem. ![]() |

| THX 3417 crossover monitor I have a THX 3417 crossover monitor for sale as well as other material, taken from a redeveloped cinema which we worked on, if anyone is interested. I know this tread has not been active for a couple years but thought to write anyways. Last edited by Morphuse; 23rd November 2010 at 09:38 AM.. Reason: spelling error |

| THX came about because George Lucas wanted Star Wars to have lows in the theaters. Rather than have every theater do their own thing, or nothing, he put a system together. Just one of a myriad of innovations from genius George Lucas. . . |
