Syteks - Burr Brown or not

I just ordered a Sytek with Burr Brown on every channel from another gearslut. I know they are cool op amps but supposedly the other ones are quicker and more transparent? I'm sure I'll be happy with the Burr Browns but are they other op amps worth looking into?

I've got the older model with BB on channels 3 and 4.....the difference is fairly subtle between the regular channels and the BB's.
If pushed I would say the BB are a little smoother and maybe not as "quick".I tend to like it on Vox and Gtrs.... but again not a night and day difference.
I bet you could get Mike at Sytek to mod the Sytek if you're not happy with the way it sounds

I'm sure it will work fine. I'll just start building an OSA rack next for some different flavors.

the BB OPA627 (which is probably what you are referring to) and the AD825 (a bit getter in my opinion) were the previous top op amps.... the new analog devices AD8066-AD8065 pretty much makes them obsolete now though and they are about to release even better ones...they are getting really pretty damn good...check'em out

Hi
Has anyone tried the Analog Devices op amps in their Sytek?
Can you just switch them out or are there other considerations like voltage?
thanks Roly
