ADR F760-RS vs. ADR F760X-RS?

I know the obvious difference is that the one is only the comp and the other is the gate and expander, but to get the sound of the adr, the comp is the thing that set's it apart, right? I've used the F760X, but not the F760. Funky Junk has a F760 I'm looking to buy. Thanks for the help.

right.
You'll never use the gate, odds are.

find out if it's balanced or unbalanced though (they came both ways and you WANT it balanced)

Kind of what I thought. I'll look into the balanced/unbalanced issue. Thanks.
