anything to gain? portico + pacifica

hey, guys I've got a couple of nice pres Speck 5.0 and Neve 5012 portico. I'm wondering if any of you guys have heard them all. I just wanna know if the Pacifica is a dramatic difference in tone from the speck or the portico.

mics=sm7b pearlman tm-1
applications= VOCALS!!! acoustic guitar, keyboards.

I just wanna know...so maybe i can move on to getting a nice analog EQ(like the neve 5033 or the Avedis....something for vox). These plugins seem to be garbage for the vocal sound I want.

Yep!

Very cool song man. Very well written. Simple. Love the little electronic distortions quietly underneath the guitars. Great use of effects.... Just drop the drums at the end or reprogram them - maybe even play them if you are going to have it be so short really filter them out but make it sound more other-worldly and elegant as the rest of the song. They are the only thing hold this song back from being really spectacular.

Other than that it's fantastic. Good job!

I like "how to see" thats a cool song... reminds me a bit of bloodhound gang. Ur vox sound cool on that too I like the effect. Listen to the band Plus44 "When Your Heart" www.myspace.com/plus44 they are doin the same type of effect on the vocals... It's mark from blink 182's new band.

I had a chance to use the Avedis EQ and it was insanely good. Its pretty high on my wish list.
