HI Guys!
Anyone good comment's about DBX160 SL and Focusrite red3?
What would you take for the first choice for a good compressed bass, guitar, voice and maybe for mastering and please tell me why.
Thanks

Love the 160sl on vocal. (but after an other compressor).
Red 3 on the mixbuss sometime.160SL "can" work on bass ,depend what you are looking for.
The 160SL is not an easy compressor.Don't expect to plug it and "boom" done. But when it's working IT IS GREAT

I like the 160SL on the 2-bus but with just 2-3db of comp and overeasy OFF (anymore than this and you really start bringing out the midrange). Where it truly shines is on stereo piano and acoustic guitars. Unreal sounding.

The Red3 is pretty great on the 2-bus but I can't say I've really ever put it up on anything else.
