Focusrite Saffire PRO I/O 26 Review....

So my rep at Focusrite here in California said that I have the only Focusrite Saffire Pro I/O in the United States. 10 were sent to the states, 6 to AES 1 to Mix Mag, 1 to Sound on Sound, and 1 to be on display at the Hollywood Store of Guitar Center and then last but not least my unit... Which is kind of cool to be the first. But being hit by a train I wouldn't want to be first, thankfully, Focusrite has out done themselves this time and finally made an out of the box solution for some serious recording quality and saved me from being hit by the Protools train.
Upon opening the box, all the usuals... Power Cable, Firewire Cable, Manual.... Uhhhhhhh (WHERE IS THE FREAKING SOFTWARE) Turns out, my rep forgot to include that when he was packing it for me today. thankfully its software is on focusrites website. Since England has already begun to recieve shipments.
Going through the setup was a cinch.
The Specs are yada... 24 bit yada yada 192 Khz In and out... You look em up!
One thing though! Why would I want to record at 192 Khz? Jesus! Well at least I can if I want to have a 900 MB music file...

With a total of 26 ins and outs this is a seriously great contender against MOTU, actually better in my opinion as this fancy little unit incorporates Green Series PreAmps... The AD/DA conversion is flawless and the Latency issues have been seriously fixed from all the other series before.
Bottom line this unit is fantastic whether your into high end or low end wanting to get something a little bit nice. Focusrite Saffire Pro 26 is an awesome contender in the ever growing home studio market. Here you couple this unit with a mackie control and you have a fantastic starter home studio... You can just use a mouse if you must.

I will be uploading some sound files to demonstrate the quality of the pre amps without compression, reverberation, or any conditioning. Just give me a few moments...
Expected Shippment to most stores is expected by Mid November.
