Thread Starter | Any info about Ok Go's first album...gear, studio?
Does anyone know anything about the recording of Ok Go's first album, especially the song "Get over it". Sounds amazing! Does anyone have details about studio, engineer, gear, etc? Cheers! /Rob |

I believe Ken Sluiter did at least part of that record at Western Sound Labs, the former Kingsize Sound Labs in Chicago. Neotek Elan, fairly tight and controlled love room. I seem to remember Ken telling me he always put a 4038 over the drums (with or without a stereo pair of condensers). He had an old echo plate and some Pearl mics too.

I used to like this album, but it's so heavily compressed I can hardly listen to it. The production is a little over the top as well.
