I recorded an album on one a few months back. The eq is cool, though a little strange at first with the sliders and all.

The studio had some nice outboard pre's as well but from what I remember everything went through the trident pre's except for a ribbon mic on the guitar.

I can't describe how much I liked working on that board. I wish I'd been able to mix on it but ended up mixing it somewhere else. It's so great to work on a board that is so straight ahead and sounds great as well.

I know thats not to detailed but I really think you'll like an A-Range

I love them to death... but what would constitute a "good story"?

basically, it's a great desk, but still, just a desk!

maybe like courtney love shooting up on the bus section while kurt and dave are throwing knives at each other. then, low and behold, some of courtney's smack spills into one of the the volume pots. shortly after the a-range blows up, and kurt ends up killing the bass player with a knife to the chest, all because of the billowing cloud of smoke causing kurt to mistake bass player for Dave.

that's ONE story.

desk, you say?

Somewhat related, but not really, on the last Hole record I submixed and comp-ed a bunch of guitars and orchestra stuff from 2" 16 track through the A-Range at Image so that it could fit on CLA's SSL. Not much of a story but I did use the Trident
