160 watts per channel, 26 tubes per channel, average internal temp 100F. That's impressive if it's true, but still isn't that like 70amps for a 48 channel board? 150 for the max configuration. Sure, the boards a half million dollars, but the electric bill is where they get ya! Then of coarse there's the 2500 tubes that will be replaced down the road, and the capacitors, that are surface mounted? These guys are deffinitely adventurous. I applaud their cahones!

Yeah I just figured that if you could sfford the board the electric bill and maintenance woudn't make much of a difference

It looks like it will be available sometime in 2004. Can't wait!

What a great idea to put 2500 individual tubes in one console. Sound will no longer be described as 'warm'. Instead we'll use words like 'burning' or 'molten' because of all the heat recorded on every track.

If you really want it to sound good, you need to replace all 2500 tubes with NOS Mullards...
