"Hallo, bin ich ein Verstärker des Mikrophons V76. Setzen Sie ein Kabel ein und ich bilde süsse Töne."

This should just about cover everything.

Oliver has restored several of these for me (and one one more on its way), he's THE MAN. Still my all-time favorite mic pre.

Why is it your favorite and how would you compare it to the other top notch pre's neve ect. Is it really that huge ? I have never heard one.

It's smooth, musical, nice color without hype. Sweet top end, very detailed. Not as "fat" as a Neve 10XX, I'd say it's more balanced for lack of a better descriptor. Absolutely killer on vocals and both elec and acoustic guitars (which are 90% of what I record anyway). If I had the dough I'd have eight channels of these instead of eight channels of Porticos. BTW I was at Blackbird in Nashville in July and when I told the studio manager I had bought four V76s over the past few years, he said, "We have about a hundred." (I think he was counting V72s as well, to be fair!) Now that's slutty!

Why bother with manual? Sounds good don't it?

I had a bunch of German TAB literature translated by a native German speaker once,

not much help. Just talked about mic-preamplification and such but no real pieces of advice.

I have a pair of V-76m (s).

they blow everything else away as far as sonics are speaking.
