well i use waves right now mostly the ren eq, rvox, r comp, r verb, also i use the t-racks eqs a bit, sometimes i use dverb, and the stock digidesign delay, i just bought 2 uad-1 cards and am finishing installing all the stuff (my internet is down at my studio so i had to lug my stuff to my house to do all the installing) so i'll let you know how those work out for me. i started to run out of cpu power on my g4 mirror door so i went with the uad-1 plus i heard good things about the plugins. also what kind of pres are you using for tracking? and what kind of convertors do you have?

What's up Starski??? I've got some E27's and they are one of my all time favorite EQ's.... Same design as your E15's, but with more frequencies. Each band now has 7 choices including some unique to this EQ (20k, 24k, and 28k).

I may on occasion talk about some of the products I am a dealer for in my posts.. and that's OK! I sell them because I like them. Not vice versa. It's more fun to talk about things you know and love, then things you don't.

Hey STARSKI, right now i have a Aurora Audio GT2Q that i got 2 weeks ago and ive only played around with it for about 15 minutes so far, and it sounded amazing. I got some great sound out of the EQ also very quickly. I also have a Tube Tech MP 1A which i havent tried yet. Im waiting for some more gear to arrive before i set everything up,ect. Im the kind of dude where id rather be overkill, then lacking, wondering, ect. I might invest in a UAD-1 Ultra Pak if i can get one on credit. My convertors right now are the RME ADI-8 Pro.

ok well i'll be going to the studio in a bit, im downloading protools 6.7 to update from 6.4. i'll let you know how much of a pain it is to deal with the the delay compensation since LE doesn't have it. i was reading about a little bit and it sounds like you can get kind of lost in how much delay compensation has to be on each track if your using the UAD-1 plugins, maybe it'll all make a bit more sense when i'm actually using it... how lame though protools le is the only program that doesn't have it. i've been avoiding upgrading to hd cuz i really don't need all of the things on there, but this sounds like something that will impede my work flow having to deal with the delay compensation.... r

IT IS A PAIN.
But you can get around & deal with it.
yes it is really lame how you need a plugin to fix the plugin delay.
It has made me really limit my use of plugins as the more you use, the trickier it gets to keep it all tight.

In any case, the UAD-1 is DOPE & sounds the best out of all the Plugins I've used.
The Neve joint is dope & so is the 1176 & LA2A.

Far as EQ's & Comps, I am bout to prolly jump on the E27 as well & am still debating on a new comp.
I love my 560's & Soundworkshop `Series 30` Super EQ's (talk about warm!).

ok so i did a session last night where i was mixing and playing around with uad-1, the plug in delay is annoying, i'm sure i'll be able to get used to what's going on and find a way to work but it is getting in the way of my workflow. so far it's annoying enough to make me think of switching platforms or finding a good deal on an hd-1. about the e27 eq im sure you'll love it. i love my e15's. what were you looking for in regards to a compressor?

I don't know about Cubase, I thought PT was the only one with this problem.

Far as what comp i am thinking about, not sure yet - currently have Distressors & few DBX joints.
Was thinking maybe some different sounding piece.
I like grime & character.
