I'm really interested that that puppy!
It hasn't shipped yet, we're hoping it ships the end of this week. Tim is still waiting on Lundahls to arrive, which will be installed in the completed units....could be any day now.

Just wanting to get any extra feedback on the Buzz, when recording vocals, guitars etc, does the pad do anything special/extra to the sound ?

In other words a lot of us know how the P-1 can make a huge difference with pad in vs pad out, just wondering about the buzz in that feature.

Not that I've noticed, when the pad is engaged it sounds the same to my ears when the gain is made equivalent. Although it's difficult to instantly A/B as you'd have to record both both ways with the same source, match levels - put in your DAW and A/B. If I don't actually need the input pad from a functional standpoint, I don't use it. What is the difference on the P-1 with or without pad?

I did my first mix today with the buzz, i have been tracking for 8 days, after the mix i took a listen out side the studio with the buzz on bass, some guitar and some vocals. Its just amazing how the bass was not bouncing all over the room and was unreal tight, the perfect detail preamp that i have been looking for, everyone should have at least one buzz in the racks, its amazing how little difference you can hear in the control room but yet amazing the jaw dropping sound that you get once its on a normal stereo system.

I would call the buzz preamp, silent but deadly preamp that will give you something to talk about indeed.
