Thread Starter | Gordon Vs. GML 8302
I am looking for a transparent pre and have narrowed my choices to the Gordon and the GML 8302. I'd like to hear some more comments from users of these pres to help me decide. I have read the hell out of all the older posts here. Thanks. |

Not very deep comparison done, but knowing Gordon very well and playing a bit with GML, my conclusion is that they share more similarities than differences. Gordon is by far my preferred clean mic pre and except clean and neutral it sounds also big, spacious without slightest harshness. To my ears GML is more clinical, less exciting and dry sounding, but it's great pre, no doubt. |
