The Unfairchild is unreal.
The best comp I've EVER heard.
Words do not describe how incredible it is.
I've been into using the side chain with it these days...WOW!!!

I think the only new addition this year was the Pulse Techniques MEQ-5.

@ delay

spotted a snd acme-4 in your setup.
wonder how you like it so far?

i am happy with mine, but i am not sure if i did the basic "latenzy compensation" setup right. i still have to manually re-adjust a bit when ever i start to sync my old drum machines. no problem, it stays in sync after that, but i think i am missing something here ...

Just got the MEQ-5 a couple of weeks ago and I've been using it on stand-up bass on an album mix. Want to try it on electric guitar when I get the chance.
On the 1A3a's it's more a question of what don't they work on! I use them for mastering, vocals, acoustic instruments etc.

Nice collection of Altecs. And that looks like an RJR at the top of number 3. Dustin does a nice job.

That's an SSL busscomp clone by diygallery.de - it's a good thing as well, though I never heard of RJR...

Hi there!
We use it for recording already compressing and EQing, so I always like switching between the HS50 and the V6 to make sure we'll print the track sounding good through both speakers.
They're cheap, small and easy to find. They're far form high end or perfect, but they get their job done.
