Most extreme 500 modules ?

I'm looking for recommendations of the most extreme 500 modules - boxes that aren't trying to be subtle, and mess with the sound in such an obvious way even my wife could tell the difference.

EQ, compressors, filters, I'm open to any suggestions.

Depending on your settings the CAPI Missing Links can do some crazy stuff. Also the Standard Audio Level-Or are radical.

+1 on the Standard Level-Or, definitely extreme on almost all but the most conservative settings. Also check out the new Moog Ladder Filter, I have yet to try one out but I would assume that "extreme" is exactly what you would get there, since it is based on classic Moog filter designs.

this will sound pretty normal but the api 525 and Purple ODD EQ both are great at 'making' a sound .. the EQ section of the GR/EQ32 is pretty normal but the filters can really do a number on things. I have a Radial EXTD loop that I can insert my guitar stomp boxes into the chain ...much fun with that using phasors/univibes/dirty delays/ envelope followers and wah pedals

Me too, it's crazy what this thing will do with just a *small* turn of a knob! Laughed out loud, literally!

+1 on the level-or
+1 on the extd, especially if you already have a cool stomp box collection.

The filter section on the great river/Harrison eqs are pretty awesome.

Also the little labs VOG is a cool module, different than most.

I have not tried the moog ladder but it is on my list.

The Purple Action compressor is really good for smashing drums hits, usually am using it in parallel for this application. It kinda reminds me of a Distressor but with less options.
