Any high end mixer around $10k?

I'm currently using a Manley 16x2 mixer with no Eq on it.
I'm looking for a bigger (24 to 32) with good quality pres and eqs around $10-12k used. I'm really not familiar with the studio boards out there.
Let me know your thoughts!

I don't know if you're going to find "high end" and "32 channels" in the same paragraph - much less in the same board.

But if you've got $10,000 to work with, perhaps a Soundcraft Ghost with the Creation Audio mods. That'll set you around $10k when all is said and done - And it makes a mighty fine budget-friendly solution.

It's not going to be Manley - It's not going to be Crane Song - But it'll get you where you want to go without too much of a hassle. The preamps (after the mods) are quite good and the EQ is probably the best around in that price range.

may be able to find a 2nd hand 24ch. Neotek for that price range.

I went with a 32ch. AudioArts 8x inline console.
After shipping it cross country it set me back about $4500
I'm pretty happy with it as it is now. Great EQs, fantastic summing, and flexible routing.
I'll probably dump another grand into having it overhauled next year.

If you can find one, i highly recommend them!

Perhaps you may want to consider looking for a Trident Console. If you are lucky you may even find a 80B for under $15,000 otherwise a 75, 65 or 24 Series usually goes for under 8,000. You will also need to consider the cost of wiring, recap and other issues that comes with buying used consoles.

Good luck!

A new 24 channel Audient runs about 26K here in the states and a 36 channel is around 31K without any wiring. Not in your range but a great desk. I happen to have an Audient ASP 8024-36 for sale if you have any interest.

Are you a commericial enterprise and have you considered using a leasing company? It will allow you to get into a much nicer desk without the up front costs. Same as driving a Mercededes when you can only afford a Ford.......

A customer in Vegas picked up a used $45k Soundcraft Sapphire in new condition for $1000. Rick Luxenberg got his 36 input Soundcraft 6000 for $3k. I got a $11k Delta for $750.

Check with brokers. People often list their consoles with them because they're a little safer than e-bay and such. $10K can buy you a decent board. Neotek and Trident have been mentioned. Although I'm not too fond of the 65 series stuff and the 80B stuff may be too high. Don't forget about Amek. Nice sounding boards as well. Just be sure to check the board out or have it checked by a tech of your choice prior to exchanging any money.

"As ye shall seek, ye shall find".

These consoles must be looked for aggressivly. Post as many wanted posts as you can. Many times someone will have one in storage and then see a wanted ad for it.

No, I don't have Soundcraft stock, but they do offer some of the best performance/values around. Plus, they have parts. Try to get parts for Trident or AMEK.

It seems like D&R's go for around 10 thousand mark. Someone on gearslutz sold one earlier this year.
