When I use the Folcrom, I get lazy some times and just use a few of it's inputs... lets say 6 or 8 some times.

I'll put drums on one, vox, bass, pads-synths, guitars, extras...

Anybody here feel the need to fill out the whole 16?

curious...

I built my own, but it's funtionally exactly like a Folcrom... here's how I do it:

1 kik mono
2 snare mono
3/4 all other drums stereo
5 bass mono
6 off unless there's stereo synth bass
7/8 guitars
9/10 synths
11 lead vox mono
12 off
13/14 backing vox
15/16 all fx returns

I have not done any scientistic tests but I have noticed that when I have compared a mix summed ITB vs one summed on a mixer, those tracks that made the most improvement in detail was the track that had its own output. The tracks that where submixed ITB and then sent out did almost not improved at all...
