Strange piece of Equipment aquired. . .what is it?

An engineer at my radio station was cleaning out the "back office" and asked me if there was anything I wanted (mind you this is the same guy who hooked me up with a classic VU DBX 160. . .which I turned around and sold for $600). He starts telling me about this Unit made by Harris Gates. . .Don't really know to much about it besides the fact that it's old and it has Tubes. . .bout 20 lbs too. . .

The only thing it has is Input levels. . .output and "calibrate" knobs. . .it also says
Gates on one side and FM Top Level on the other side. . .

I know nothing nor have been able to find any info on this unit

Please. . .even speculation would help me at this point. . .no it's not a pizza oven

Probably a broadcast limiter. Harris makes broadcast equipment.

I would reckon it's probablya Gates "Sta-level" which IIRC were pentode based "delta-mu" style limiters... some people swear by them, other people [like me] swear at them. Either way you can probably turn a good buck on it via eBay® or Craigslist.
