I thought I read sometime back that you went from the MM27's to Gene 8050a's?

As usual, great room, D!

Yes, the 8050's are great but my room is too big! So I'm using Genelecs 1032 to complement my old NS10's.

The barefoots are rocking our tracking room as I said, clients love them!

After many problems I don't want to know anything about Adam btw :(

Hey Cabbo!

I remember years ago when I uploaded the first picts of my place

It's interesting how things change over the years.

The first pict in 2005 showed a Euphonix desk, second pict in 2008 was a Duality, now Its my 4000G+, actually I bought 2, one for my personal studio and the second one is installed our B room where Francisco Oroz is rockin' theae days.

We are expanding Cosmos, I just got the property next door and we're gonna build a new studio there.

My dear friend Mike Nehra is finding me a nice 8068 for that studio, we want the perfect tracking room!

Best regards, I will upload more picts soon.

Don't use the keyboard for drums. Look at the ZenDrum for an alternative. It's a vastly superior solution for driving drum synths, and clearly by your standards pretty inexpensive.

I think this is a good place to interject that AV uses MOTU Digital Performer as his main DAW, probably because he can't afford any other DAW.

Seriously Del Cosmos, what a great setup and what excellent music is produced at your place.. thanks for the great music!

Ha ha ha, I love DP, I tried in the past to switch to other DAW's and always finish returning to my dear unicorn

My DP works great with apogee converters as a front end and Antelope Atomic Word Clock.

I think the best software is the one you know better. I started with Performer back in '93, then DP in 96'.

I'm waiting for an update of DP8, in my personal experience, its a bit unstable right now.

I don't want to sound like an advertisement, but right now in Mexico, 11 songs of the top 20 charts were written or produced by us, and every song was made with DP.

Best regards.

Awesome.

Once again, as you can testify, its not about the gear, its about the user/performer.

How many times do you read something on GS that you have to have PT for a "professional" product or that you have to own this pre or that comp?

I`m curious though, I`ve used DP since 2000 and the only time it has crashed on me is when I am using it with a virtual instrument (i.e. EZ Drummer). Have you experienced the same thing?

Congrats on all the radio success.

I use DP with Nexus, Addictive Drums, Stylus RMX, Sample Tank, Kontakt, Battery, Omnisphere, Sylent, Oddity (on of my favorites!) and Superior Drummer. It works great. but once I'm happy with a part, I freeze it.

Lately, I'm using VEPro and everything is better now. Every single soft synth is running on VEPro and DP is only for midi and audio. This way I'm using the 24 gb's of ram on my computer and there's not a single crash.

Best regards.

I am getting close to a DP upgrade as well. I hope they get the bugs out soon!

I need to add some more in's and outs, not sure what I will do about new convertors just yet.

delcosmos, what apogee converters are you using?
