Don't know about S5x-V's, but I picked S4x-V's over ATC100's after quite some real-world testing.
The ATC's are great and I could do great work on them, but something in the Adam's I preferred. Cannot say what, but the depth I got in my mixes on the Adams was just I bit better. Mind you: I worked for years on S3a's as my only pair, so perhaps I am just used to the Adam sound.

A nice benefit was that the Adams were a lot less expensive .

Greetings,
Dirk

They don't.

I worked once on the S5X-H and hated them. But the room acoustics there sucked.

I worked on the MB2-XBDA quite a lot and think they are superb.

But I don't think many actually compared the two in the same room.

PMC Adams and ATC are very different , Adams have that quasi ribbon, PMC uses transmission line loading, ATC mid and LF drivers Drivers are very low distortion may not go as low as others but wow!!
as for differences between consumer and PRO PMC ask PMC, I believe Its just the cabinet but not 100% sure.

MB2i (consumer) has an i series tweeter. MB2s (studio) has a standard D27 tweeter. Both very nice tweeters.

There are two models of passive MB2 - the MB2S and the MB2i. The MB2S is the original design and is available in all finishes (the studio black and our range of veneers).

The MB2i features an updated tweeter design that was optimized for the domestic environment, it is slightly brighter in the 10KHz + area. We generally sell the MB2i in our wood veneer finishes but I'm sure it could be ordered in the Studio Black finish if needed.

For recording/mixing/mastering we generally spec the MB2S but some pro users have the MB2i and are very very happy - Trevor Horn is one that comes to mind. I could happily sit down and work on either, I have owned a set of MB2S for about 5 years.

I hope that helps.
