Pultec HLF-3C Sounds Strange

Hello,
I am either going nuts or my Pultec HLF-3C is sounds strange (I will post sound clips soon). It has a strange sound like it's creating a resonating frequency.

I will get a clip up soon..

The unit is entirely passive and does not have buffer amps. Thus you have to make sure the audio connections are properly terminated, otherwise it starts ringing.
You need three resistors across the inputs and outputs when it is connected to standard outboard units.

I can not recall the actual values from the top of my head, but I might be able to look that up.

Good to know. I'm going to delete my post so as not to put confusing info into the record. My apologies.

ok, Right now it has a 600K resistor across the output. I had a silver face version with no resistors on either the I/O and I remembering it sounding ok, I will try what you said.

From what i was told when i bought my pair, the resistors change the curve of the cutoff. Mine came with little XLR jumpers that had the resistors in the make of the cable. They sound fine to me with or with the resistor cables.
