API 500 series mounting options....

Is there any good reason to pay twice the price for an API 500 10 space rack as opposed to the comparable OSA or Averill offerings?

thanks!

Actually API dropped the price to like $850 for the rack + Power supply! So it isn't twice the price any more and you get the API logo for what that is worth?......

It looks to me like the API is a little less than BAE these days.

The API 10 space at Mercenary (w/ power supply) is $825

The BAE 11 space at brentaverill.com is $899 (w/ power supply)

The API is the only one I've used and it's never been a problem.

i have not had any issues with my OSA.
i think Brent has, as always, a great product.
and i have nothing against API.
with that my next one will be another OSA.
i really like the service Nathan offers.

And what it is worth is that your API modules will still be covered under warranty if anything goes wrong with them, not the case with other racks. On the other hand most folks are not using all or even any API modules in their racks as it is and unless you do anything stupid (like tell API you are using a different rack) how would they know?

When I get around to it I think I am going to get me an OSA rack, that tells you how worried I am about the API warranty.

When did the price come down? I just bought a lunch box. I would have gotten the 10 slot for that price.

For this price I'd get also the API. It seems that the price drop was recently.
