HD Native and Aurora problem

Aurora 8 connected to Native Card, I know these can be dodgy sometimes but it worked fine with the old HD PCIe cards.

On launch of Pro Tools HD9 it just says no interface can be found on the first HD card etc.

Please help!

I would be interested in this as well because I just bought an HD Native card to use with my Lynx Aurora 16-VT. I sometimes had the problem when I was using my Aurora via USB 2.0. I discovered it worked best if you turn the Aurora on first and let it sit idle for a few minutes and then turn on your computer.

Let me know if that helps.

Cheers,
KennyS

Check firmware of the Lynx and HD Native card. No problems at all here with an Aurora under PT9 or PT10 including advanced routing (32i/o). Give Paul at Lynx a shout. Should get you sorted.

UPDATE:

Not sure how to check the firmware on the LT-HD but I checked the firmware on the Aurora 8 and it is version 21. It needs to be 22 or higher!!! Help! :(

As I suspected. The procedure is buried somewhere on the Lynx website or you can simply call Paul at Lynx tech support. You don't have to be the first owner for them to help.

I've got the LYNX and HD NATIVE never had a problem with PT 9 or 10 so once you get the firmware update you should be good to go. It's pretty easy to do, just need a MIDI interface and a couple of MIDI cables

You can download the firmware and instructions here: Lynx Studio Driver Locator

firmware update will solve it.

HD Native + PT 10.1 here. some minor quirks from the software, but no issues at all with the hardware.

Paul is the man. super-helpful, and has called me back really quick every time i've left a message. goes above and beyond always.

Hey guys. I'm running PT 9.0.6 and it says the HD native card needs a firmware update. When this completes it gives DAE Error 1167 and shuts down.

This is horrible! :(

Turns out it wasn't the Aurora: it was the HD native card's firmware. This update failed the first time and people have found success through moving the card to another slot.

I thought I would just try the firmware update with the card in the original slot. Thankfully it was successful and everything is working.

I am honestly so grateful for the level of customer service Lynx offer. It is so unusual. Especially seeing as they were also supporting me with Avid's product.

So guys, if these things fail first time, try them again!!
