| Gear addict | MOOG 3 BAND EQ...
Have any of you Slutz ever used this EQ from Bob Moog? Somehow, I think it sounds good, but before I purchase some from UK, I would like to hear your comments! Thanks...

the moog EQ sounds cool! don't expect this super-duper transparent mastering quality audiophile sheen kind of EQ, though... however, it has a very distinct, slightly crunchy tone, that works great for basslines, kickdrums and everything else that you want to push a little over the edge. it's a fat sounding distortion box as well. i think michael brauer said somewhere (perhaps in this tape op interview a few years ago?) he would sometimes use the moog EQ for kickdrums. but perhaps i'm wrong, unfortunately i don't really remember it anymore. bottom line: go and get it, if it is not too expensive!

Makes an awesome manual phaser too, especially if you get someone else to help you and sweep all bands at once. M |
