Hey Guys, What Would You Do in this Situation?

So...I need a compressor for vocals and guitars. Tracking mainly.

Having a 2mix compressor would be great too. HENCE...

Do I buy the LA3a reissue which I hear is great for this kind of thing (except for 2 buss stuff obviously) or do I save the 1200 and keep saving to get the Smart C2, which I'm hearing is not just a great buss comp, but super on vocals and guitar as well.

I know the real answer is get both, but lets pretend like we are in the real world and funds are limited...

Thanks
TH

The answer is get both...

But, since you only have enough to get the LA3a, and this is primarily for tracking. Get the LA3a now, and get the C2 later on when you have more funds and are doing more mixing.

I may on occasion talk about some of the products I am a dealer for in my posts.. and that's OK! I sell them because I like them. Not vice versa. It's more fun to talk about things you know and love, then things you don't.
