This is not high end.... and I hope your mix is 7.1 or whatever is used for that! A stereo mix will sound like garbage!

That's wicked! Probably not the best for mixing ;0) but damn that'll be a blast hearing your track on a massive system like that! The bass will be insane! Hopefully you can switch the system to stereo... otherwise things will get interesting.

I thought this was High-End. Anyway...... Sound wont even be close to HIGH-END full range monitors in terms of frequency response and SPL.

I think it's cool just for the fun of it. It's great to experiment and experience different things with your sound.

I don't see why there needs to be any negativity about it not being high end. He's got the chance to listen to his tracks at a brand new cinema complex - it's not as if he posted in high end about borrowing his mates Alesis monitors.

It'll be interesting to hear his thoughts. Suggestions on how to get the most out of the opportunity would be more helpful.

Just my vibe anyway.

I was responding to the title, which is not remotely close to reality. Ant commercial studio as well as a decent HT/HiFi set up will blow a cinema system away. The title alludes to hi-end content.

Fair enough the title was a bit misleading. Damn I'd love to get hold of a cinema for an evening though - just for a laugh

Cost alone is no indicator. A cinema uses multiple example of the same unit over and over, so comparitively they are not actally that expensive. Amps and Speakers are not remotely close to a genuine studio system. No-one with any serious exposure in the business would find this to be high end. Due to thier implementation and arrangement as well as specification they are actally closer to consumer level. THX spec is not High-end.. PM3 is

If you want to experience hi-end cinema you need to use a PM3 facility. We operate one for soundtracks and SACD work for Sony. The difference is collosal.
The point of my posting is to inform people what really happens at a certain level within the industry and I though high-end meant high-end

This is high end. Take your mix to the biggest local night club. At least someone has played a CD on it.

its was awesome i dont know the name of the system though its some european company but it was incrediable i listened to my mixes and then we hook up a microkorg to it and played around with that and the bass was extreme and just for the fun of it we hooked up an xbox360 and played madden06 but its true its not as high end as some studio monitors the sound overall was very warm
