Shure Beta 181 vs SE RN17

redredredredhair Gear interested Joined: Nov 2011 Location: Lexington, KY Posts: 12 Thread Starter	Shure Beta 181 vs SE RN17 These are both fairly new mics around the same price range and I've read nothing but amazing things about the RN17 but I've heard some samples of the Beta 181s and I was pretty impressed at the clarity. Just wondering if anyone here has used either one because I'm pretty split on them. (Leaning more towards the RN17, but it's about $350 more.) I'm primarily interested in using these for drum overheads.
