Genelecs 8030a 8040a 8050a-who has them

Where is the place you bought yours? For the best competitive price and lowest shipping???

Can Genelecs be damaged easily from a small drop or even from being played on 10????? If so, should one EVER dare to buy used genelecs?

THANKS!

The new Genelecs are pretty rugged little monitors. It's really hard to kill them, even if you try because they have a lot of built in protection. If you can find some used ones, I say pick them up. Otherwise, I think they are basically the same price every where you go, so it really comes down to shipping.

i bought my 8030a's from warren at frontendaudio.com
he upgraded my shipping for free and gave me a great deal plus a couple free mogami gold cables.

so naturally, i recommend you go to him.

i also bought a KRK RP10s sub from him to supplement the Genelecs and i must say its all working out quite nicely.

They're a really solid build!!! I live in Australia, where they're way overpiced. I bought mine from Europe over the internet and had them shipped - no problems at all.

They're cheaper from Europe than the States though!!! Also, if you ask nicely, alot of the stores will look into other shipping options for you to save you some cash - rather than just the standard UPS price that they quote for shipping straight away.

www.thomann.de are a reputable and competitively priced dealer. Remember some sites quote the price for a pair, and some for a single speaker so be sure to double check.

I got mine from www.synthplanet.com - great price and service was fine - but they had to order them in so it took a little while. I didn't mind waiting though to get a cheap price - just depends on your priorities - money/time/security.

Peace - Rez
